Vitamin D drops with 2 strains of lactic acid bacteria and 10 µg of vitamin D, from 2 weeks to 4 years
In short: Drops with 2 strains, L. reuteri CBS 145621 and L. rhamnosus DSMZ 26357, 250 million CFU in total, and 10 µg of vitamin D in 5 drops. Research
What the research shows
We have found no trials in healthy children given the strains in Lactocare Baby. On PubMed, some of the strain codes appear only in trials of other blends in other groups, such as adults with IBS. It says nothing about whether the product works, only that it has not been studied.
Contents
Bacterial strains in Lactocare Baby
The strains as the manufacturer declares them. There are no approved health claims for probiotic strains in the EU, so we only say something about a strain where there is a source.
Limosilactobacillus reuteri CBS 145621
A different strain from DSM 17938 in the colic trials. Med24's ingredient list says DSM 34531, the nutrition table CBS 145621.
Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus DSMZ 26357
Not the same as L. rhamnosus GG (LGG), the strain most trials in children have used.
